2019/20 Flu Season Update
We have flu vaccine in stock. Please check here for updates regarding flu clinics . We have begun administering the vaccine during regular office visits and will announce flu clinic dates so you can schedule an immunization appointment.
The doctors, nurse practitioners and the entire staff at PANF strongly recommended that everyone age 6 months and older get a flu vaccine each year.
The flu vaccine we administer is the Quadrivalent vaccine that contains both the Seasonal Flu and H1N1 Flu, combined into one vaccine. All the vaccine we are administering are Thimerosal Free.
Parents & Caretakers
As a convenience to our patient’s families, we will be offering the Flu Vaccine to parents and caretakers of our patients in our flu clinics. The cost for vaccination is $30.00
Flu Booster Vaccine
Some children 6 months through 8 years of age require two doses of influenza vaccine. Children 6 months through 8 years that are being vaccinated against the flu for the first time, and those who have only previously only gotten one dose of flu vaccine, should get two doses of vaccine this season, given a minimum of at least 30 days apart. All children who have previously gotten two doses of vaccine (at any time) only need one dose of vaccine this season.
On January 30, 2020, the International Health Regulations Emergency Committee of the World Health Organization declared the outbreak a “public health emergency of international concern. Thankfully, very few cases have been reported in the US, and only one case in Massachusetts. However, we must be vigilant and take proper precautions if there is a suspected case of coronavirus. Per CDC guidelines, if you, your child, or any household member has recently travelled to China AND you have developed fever, cough or shortness of breath - DO NOT COME TO OUR OFFICE!!. Proceed to the nearest emergency room after calling ahead to alert them you are coming.

Breast milk is considered the optimal nutrition for infants in the first year of life. Sometimes, making breastfeeding successful for both the infant and the mother is difficult. A international board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) can help ease the process. PANF is excited to announce that our terrific nurse practioner, Pam Bajada NP IBCLC , is now a certified lactation consultant. Pam is available for lactation consulting to all nursing mothers or mothers who plan to nurse. Call the office or ask your doctor about it at your baby’s next check up.
