Coronavirus Alert UPDATED 8/27/2020
PANF Response to COVID-19
Ensuring the health of your children and families is our first priority. The doctors, nurse practitioners, and entire staff at Pediatric Associates of Norwood and Franklin (PANF) have been following the rapidly evolving COVID-19 public health crisis. We are following the guidance of state and local public health officials. Please keep in mind this is a rapidly evolving situation and recommendations are changing daily.
Additionally, we have made the following significant changes to our triage procedures and appointment scheduling, in both our Norwood and Franklin offices.
WE ARE NOW SEEING WELL CHECK-UPS FOR PATIENTS OF ALL AGES.
TO MAINTAIN ADEQUATE SOCIAL DISTANCING, WE HAVE UNDERTAKEN THE FOLLOWING MEASURES
APPOINTMENTS ARE SPACED OUT TO 1 EVERY 30 MINUTES TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE AT ANY ONE TIME
VIRTUAL WAITING ROOM - YOU WILL NOW RECEIVE A TEXT ON THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT ASKING YOU TO TEXT US BACK WHEN YOU ARRIVE. WE WILL THEN TEXT YOU BACK TO COME INSIDE ONLY WHEN YOUR CHILD IS READY TO BE SEEN.
WE ASK THAT ONLY ONE ADULT ACCOMPANY EACH SICK CHILD TO LIMIT EVERYONE'S EXPOSURE.
WE ARE SUSPENDING ON-LINE BOOKING USING SIGN-UP GENIUS AND CANCELLING A.M. WALK-IN CLINICS. ALL SICK APPOINTMENTS MUST BE MADE OVER THE PHONE. MOST CALLS REGARDING SICK CHILDREN WILL BE RETURNED BY A PHYSICIAN OR NP FOR A TELEHEALTH VISIT.
ALL SICK PATIENTS WILL BE GIVEN A MASK AND MUST WEAR THE MASK AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN THE OFFICE. ALL STAFF WILL ALSO WEAR MASKS DURING PATIENT VISITS. WE URGE PARENTS TO BRING AND WEAR THEIR OWN MASKS
THE OFFICE WILL BE CLEANED AND DISINFECTED THROUGHOUT EACH DAY AND A MORE THOROUGH CLEANING WILL BE DONE EACH NIGHT.
We will be sending updates regularly. Please keep informed from reputable information sites:
STAY SAFE AND HUNKER DOWN AT HOME!!!! IF WE ALL SERIOUSLY TAKE PRECAUTIONS NOW, WE WILL SAVE LIVES AND GET PAST THESE TROUBLING TIMES.
Welcome Jennifer Harris, PNP to our Provider Staff
We are excited to welcome Jennifer to our team. She has over 8 years of experience as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Jennifer will be seeing patients in both our Norwood and Franklin offices. She will see children for both sick and Well Child visits. She looks forward to meeting all of our patients and families.
Lactation Consulting Now Available at PANF
Breast milk is considered the optimal nutrition for infants in the first year of life. Sometimes, making breastfeeding successful for both the infant and the mother is difficult. A international board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) can help ease the process. PANF is excited to announce that our terrific nurse practioner, Pam Bajada NP IBCLC , is now a certified lactation consultant. Pam is available for lactation consulting to all nursing mothers or mothers who plan to nurse. Call the office or ask your doctor about it at your baby’s next check up.
PANF recognized as Patient Centered Medical Home
