Office Hours and After Hours Availability
As patient copayment and deductibles continue to increase and to maintain continuity of medical care for our patients, we continue limit the unnecessary use of emergency rooms and walk-in clinics by our patients. Our walk-in clinic, is available Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM-10 AM in our Norwood office (see below). Our Norwood and Franklin offices are open from 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Monday-Friday. Generally, the Norwood office is open until 9:00 PM Monday-Wednesday and Franklin on Monday & Thursday for urgent care. Weekend & holiday coverage is held in our Norwood office or at our coverage group Pediatric Specialists of Foxboro and Wrentham's, Foxboro office. (Weekly e-updates are sent with the coverage schedule) you can also contact our answering service, after hours, by dialing the main phone number to either office for detailed information. Weekend/holiday hours generally run until the urgent demand has subsided. If the office is closed for any reason, you can access our answering service, night nurse advice service, or physician on call day or night.

WALK-IN HOURS

WHAT: Walk-in appointments for uncomplicated acute illness with one of our skilled pediatric nurse practitioners. No appointment necessary. Patients will be seen in order of arrival. Patients with more complex problems will be scheduled for an appointment later in the day.

WHO: Patients from both Norwood and Franklin offices, older than 3 months.

WHEN: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 10 AM, Started October 3, 2011.

WHERE: Our Norwood office. 62 Walpole Street, Norwood MA.

WHY: Added convenience and timely appointments for our families. No need to call ahead. Examples of the types of problems for our Walk-in Clinic: Sore throat Rash Cough Fever Vomiting Diarrhea Pink eye Wheeze Recent injury Ear pain
