Spring Cleaning Tips
Now that spring has sprung, families are thinking about cleaning out a winter's worth of dust and dirt. These spring cleaning safety tips can help parents get the dirt out safely. When cleaning, try to choose non-toxic cleaning solutions. White vinegar and water is a good example for cleaning windows. While you're cleaning windows, check that all window guards and bars are secure. In the garage, dispose of toxic chemicals you no longer use or need. Be sure those chemicals that do remain are out of reach in a locked cabinet. When cleaning your car, remove your child's safety seat and clean it as well. Double check the seat to ensure it is still appropriate for your child's height and weight. Then be sure it's re-installed correctly in your car. Outdoors, check your play area for sharp objects and tripping hazards. And if you have a pool, be sure the self-closing, self-locking gate or pool alarm is working properly
